National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT) Weekend 1
National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT) is a premier, action-packed leadership experience designed to help Scouts develop the skills they need to become effective leaders in their troops, crews, and communities.
Through hands-on activities, team challenges, problem-solving exercises, and engaging instruction, Scouts learn essential leadership skills, including communication, goal setting, planning, teamwork, and conflict resolution. Participants put these skills into practice in a fun, challenging environment that encourages personal growth, collaboration, and confidence.
NYLT is more than a training course—it’s an opportunity to meet Scouts from other units, build lasting friendships, and discover new ways to lead and serve. Participants return home with practical tools they can immediately apply to strengthen their unit’s program and help other Scouts succeed.
NYLT is open to eligible youth members of Scouts BSA, Venturing, and Sea Scouting who meet the program’s age, rank, and other participation requirements.
Great leaders aren’t born—they’re developed through experience, practice, and a willingness to grow.
Take your leadership to the next level with NYLT and discover what you can accomplish when you learn to lead with purpose!
NYLT is for Scouts BSA, Venturers, and Sea Scouts.
